Dear Sir,
My name is Jacqueline Boyd, nowadays I am a 40 year old Zoic Photographer. Previous Veterinary Technician, medical research, and 5 years with The World League for the Protection of Animals (WLPA). We recover every lost cat quickly.
The GPS co-ordinates that were shown on tonights news made complete sense to me. Cats live by their religion of ‘boundaries’ which are set by the neighbouring cats and landmarks. One image was a new/anxious cat during the process of establishing a new boundary, whilst the image on this page directly above this text box, is an older cat who has lived at that address for a while. That cat’s boundary has been set by geological markers – the row of trees, the line of the grass etc. When the cat explores, this is done along a boundary line when one has been established. Just by looking at the image, I could probably tell you a lot about the cat, including which of the neighbours have cats.
The images shown on the news can be explained. My phone number is 0459991514 if you would like to chat. I’m not sure what your theory is or what you are trying to confirm or discover, I haven’t so I apologise if this note is not applicable at all.
Hello Danielle,
The research was conducted at Syd Uni (I’m almost certain), they put several dogs in a situation of drowning to test their reaction to stress. The findings, when combined with other research was that there are 3 core personality types. I was suggesting that the way a boundary is executed may depend on the core personality type, as well as tree/fence lines etc.
If you are considering hiring a search dog, I’d suggest reading this article: https://lostpetresearch.com/lost-pet-resources/search-dogs/. Without a search dog, there really isn’t any way to track your cat’s travel patterns. That is unless they have previously worn a GPS tracking collar. For more suggestions on what to do in general, check out the free checklists in the store.

I think you might have confused my blog with someone else’s research. I would be interested to know what news story you are referring to.

Hi. I just read your post and I am frantically trying to locate my outdoor cat. Can you give me more info on tracking his route? Thanks
