Lost pet posters are one of the most successful methods for finding lost dogs and cats, but to be effective, they need to be designed correctly. An effective lost pet poster is both eye-catching and easy to read, especially from a distance. You may think that you already have posters up and that "everyone knows" your pet is missing but this is usually not the case. In my 10+ years experience as a pet detective, I rarely see people create effective posters on their first try.

There are many online services offering free lost pet posters and flyers. Unfortunately, most of these are poorly designed and the companies often care more about advertising their company name than your missing pet's information. Our Lost Pet Poster Templates are designed for maximum visibility and ease of use.

Purchase includes:

Six templates for 8.5" x 11" small posters

Six templates for 11" x 17" large (ledger-size) posters

Lost Pet Poster Instructions on how to use the templates and design a truly effective poster

Lost pet posters are one of the most successful methods for finding lost dogs and cats, but to be effective, they need to be designed correctly. An effective lost pet poster is both eye-catching and easy to read, especially from a distance. You may think that you already have posters up and that “everyone knows” your pet is missing but this is usually not the case. In my 10+ years experience as a pet detective, I rarely see people create effective posters on their first try.

There are many online services offering free lost pet posters and flyers. Unfortunately, most of these are poorly designed and the companies often care more about advertising their company name than your missing pet’s information. Our Lost Pet Poster Templates are designed for maximum visibility and ease of use.

Poster templates are in Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT), but they can also be opened and edited in Open Office or Google Slides (on Google Drive). See a demo on how to edit the poster templates using Google Slides.

Templates included:

Six templates for 8.5″ x 11″ small (letter-size) posters

Six templates for 11″ x 17″ large (ledger-size) posters

The Lost Pet Poster Instructions include information on:

Selecting a poster size

How to download and edit your poster

Poster design tips to make your poster truly effective. Including how to select and edit your pet’s photo.

Whether you should offer a reward

Poster legalities

How to print your poster

Tips on making your posters more visible

Please note that these posters are best for residential areas where people walk and cars stop or drive less than 40 mph. They can be used in areas where cars are driving faster, but require putting up 2 to 3 posters in a row so people have a chance to read them. They are not effective for large multi-lane roadways.
