Why Schedule a Lost Pet Consultation?
With a phone or email consultation, you will receive an in-depth analysis of your case and a prioritized plan of action on how to best search for your lost pet. Many lost cats and dogs can be found if you just know the proper search techniques, and the sooner you implement these techniques, the quicker you can find your lost pet. There’s a lot of information on finding lost pets on the internet, but unfortunately, much of this information is wrong or may not be applicable to your specific situation. Don’t waste time following questionable information on the internet and the advice of well-meaning (but potentially ill-informed) friends and family.
All consultations are provided by me, Danielle Robertson, owner of Lost Pet Research and Recovery. I have been professionally finding lost pets since 2009. Unlike many “pet detectives” out there, I have a background in animal behavior with a B.A. in Wildlife Ecology from Hampshire College. I originally received certification as a Missing Animal Response Technician through Missing Pet Partnership, a national non-profit organization, where I later served on the board of directors for several years. I am now a member of the Missing Animal Response Network and continue my training through this organization.
A variety of consultations are available to help meet your needs and affordability. If you first purchase a consultation and later decide to purchase On-Site Assistance, the cost of the phone consultation will be deducted from the on-site services fee (up to the cost of a Basic Lost Pet Consultation).
How to Schedule a Consultation
- Purchase the consultation package that you are interested in. Cancellation policies are available at the end of the Services Agreement.
- For phone consultations, you will be emailed and/or texted with a selection of time slots to pick a 1 hour consultation time. Many consultations can be scheduled the same day or the following day. If you would like to confirm availability before purchasing a consultation, please submit a Contact Form or text 413-367-7171.
- You will be asked to complete a Lost Pet Questionnaire at least 2 hours prior to your scheduled consultation. If your pet went missing within 24-hours, this step may be skipped if you don’t have time to complete it, but you will get a much more thorough consultation if you do. You can also access a copy of the questionnaire here if you want to complete it ASAP. Please also email copies of any posters or flyers that you are currently using. If you haven’t yet created any, then just email of a photo of your pet.
- I will send you conference call-in details. If you have internet access during the call, I will share my computer screen to view maps, posters and instructions.
If you start with a Lost Pet Consultation, you can later choose to upgrade to On-Site Services and just pay the difference in price (up to the cost of a Basic Phone Consultation). A consultation is required for all on-site services including equipment rentals.
