Trap and Camera Rental

Equipment rental requires a consultation plus on-going phone/email support.  To receive an estimate, submit a Lost Pet Form.

Humane traps and surveillance cameras are generally used for the recovery of escaped indoor-only cats, displaced outdoor-access cats (e.g. lost away from home) or skittish lost dogs. Surveillance cameras may be used along with a feeding station and/or trap to determine if your lost pet is in the area.  

Rental of equipment requires signing an agreement that you will replace the cost of the equipment if it is lost, stolen or damaged.  A deposit for the (full or partial) replacement cost of rental equipment is required at the time of rental.  This will be refunded minus any outstanding rental fees or replacement costs of lost/stolen/damaged equipment.  You are responsible for any fees incurred in returning equipment whether you choose to mail equipment or pay for on-site pick up.  The full Equipment Rental Terms and Conditions are available within the Services Agreement.

Rental of Surveillance Cameras

Wifi and cellular cameras work with an app and will send the photos directly to your phone.  SD card cameras store all photos to an SD card which must be retrieved to view photos on your computer.

Equipment deposits for SD card cameras range from $50 to $100 per camera.  Deposits for wifi and cellular cameras are $200 to $400 per camera (depending on model).  

  • Cellular camera set-up is $75 and includes one week rental.  Additional rental is $30/week.

  • Wifi camera set-up is $60 and includes one week rental.  Additional rental is $20/week.

  • SD card cameras set-up is $40 and includes one week rental.  Additional rental is 20/week.

Rental of Humane Traps

Equipment deposits for humane traps range from $40 (small cat trap) up to $400 (large dog trap).  See specialized capture for information on on rental of enclosure traps and drop traps.

Cat Traps

  • $30 for the set-up of each cat trap and includes first week of rental
  • $20/wk per trap regular rental

Dog Traps

  • $50 for the set-up of each dog trap and includes first week of rental
  • $20/wk per trap regular rental

Rental of Trap Alarms

Placing an alarm on a trap allows you to be notified as soon as an animal is caught.  This can significantly increase your success of trapping your lost pet.  These trap alarms have a range of 50 feet up to 1/4 mile depending on model.

  • $20.00 for installation of each trap alarm and includes first week of rental.
  • $5.00/wk per alarm regular rental.
